Peel Regional Police in Ontario report they have identified the person involved in a stabbing that took place in Malton.
On Friday, April 17, around 8:30 a. m., officers were called to the Malton GO Station, located at Derry Road and Airport Road in Mississauga, after reports of a stabbing.
Authorities found that two men who knew each other got into an argument that escalated, leading to one man being injured with a knife. The victim, who is in his 30s, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect ran away on foot.
The suspect has been identified as 23-year-old Jaikaran Singh from Mississauga. A warrant for aggravated assault has been issued for his arrest as police continue their search. He is encouraged to seek legal advice and turn himself in to authorities.
Jaikaran is described as South Asian, about 6 feet tall, with a slim build, medium-length black hair, and brown eyes. He has a birthmark on the right side of his head and a scar on the bridge of his nose.
