A man from Mississauga is now facing numerous charges after the Peel Regional Police (PRP) connected him to a series of commercial break‑and‑enters that took place over several months, targeting businesses throughout the area and leading to around $200,000 in stolen computer gear.

According to investigators from the Break and Enter Auto Response (BEAR) Unit, these crimes occurred between September 2025 and February 2026, during which time there was a noticeable rise in overnight break-ins at various businesses in Mississauga, Brampton, and nearby locations.

In one instance, police claim that the suspect broke into a business in Mississauga and made off with 15 laptops worth $35,000. As the investigation progressed, officers collaborated with the Toronto Police Service (TPS) and the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS), both of which reported similar incidents in their areas.

On March 24, PRP investigators got help from multiple police agencies – including Kingston Police, Ottawa Police, Cornwall Community Police, and VIA Rail security – after learning that the suspect was traveling east on a train.

Officers boarded the train and arrested Kenneth Levy, a 39‑year‑old resident of Mississauga. Authorities allege he is responsible for 31 break-and-enter crimes within Peel Region alone.

Levy has been charged with 62 criminal offenses. This includes 27 counts of breaking and entering with intent to commit an indictable offense as well as another 27 counts related to disguising himself with intent.

Police report that he is being held in custody while awaiting a bail hearing and may face further charges from investigations happening in Toronto and Halton as those linked cases move forward.
