A man from Mississauga is among two people facing charges related to a nighttime burglary that involved the theft of eight luxury vehicles from a car leasing company in Oakville last week.

Halton Regional Police announced on Monday that the arrests occurred last Wednesday, following an incident where “multiple masked individuals dressed in dark clothing” broke into Lockwood Leasing, located at 1141 South Service Rd. W., around 3:30 a. m. on Jan. 11 and took off with the cars.

While inside the dealership, the suspects “obtained keys to eight separate high-end vehicles” before escaping with one Ferrari, two Porsches, two BMWs, and three Mercedes, according to a police news release. The estimated value of the stolen cars was around $2 million.

Authorities noted that the front window of the business was shattered while it was empty and that suspects quickly accessed a lock box containing car keys.

Investigators later discovered four of the stolen vehicles – including the Ferrari along with a BMW, a Mercedes, and one of the Porsches – “abandoned and unoccupied” within the Greater Toronto Area.

On Jan. 12, Peel Regional Police found another stolen vehicle – this time a Porsche 911 – and arrested two men. They then informed Halton police, who took custody of the suspects two days later.

Amin Hadj Kaddour, 24, from Mississauga, and Joshua Twa’colagiacomo, also 24 but from Victoria Harbour, ON (east of Midland), are both charged with break-and-enter and disguise with intent.

They were held in custody until they were released on bail, according to police reports.

The two accused are also facing more criminal charges due to their arrests in Peel Region.

Investigators mentioned they’re still looking for other stolen vehicles as well as additional suspects involved in this case.

If anyone has information about this investigation, they should contact police at 905-825-4777, ext. 2216 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
