Popular seasonal festivals
While there are countless events throughout the fall each year, some fairs have become true favorites in Ontario – the kind you rave about to friends and plan for well ahead of time.

Local and agricultural fairs
September and October bring local carnivals on large outdoor spaces, featuring midways, petting zoos, derbys, educational exhibits, and more.
These events always carry a charming country vibe that many enjoy, highlighting agricultural and rural life. Many have been celebrated for over a century!

Apple festivals
This definitely deserves its own section! With fall being prime apple-picking season – when they’re at their tastiest – many small (and larger) towns host applefests to celebrate this delightful time.
If you’re an apple lover, here are some fests just for you:

Pumpkin festivals<p And naturally, NO fall agenda is complete without visiting pumpkin patches. At this time of year, everyone loves to decorate their homes with pumpkins-whether arranged beautifully or carved up for Halloween fun.
If you’re into pumpkin picking and want to find great spots for autumn-themed photos while selecting your own pumpkins too-make sure to save these festivals in your planner:
