A 61-year-old psychologist from Markham has been charged following an investigation by York Regional Police into claims of a youth being sexually assaulted during a therapy session.
Investigators say the incident took place on June 29, 2026, at a clinic located near John Street and Bayview Avenue in Markham. According to police, during the appointment, the psychologist allegedly performed a massage on the youth and touched them inappropriately. Fortunately, there were no physical injuries reported.
After executing a search warrant at a residence in Markham on July 4, 2026, authorities arrested Farrokh SEDIGH-DEILAMI, 61, and charged him with sexual assault and sexual interference.
The York Regional Police have shared the accused’s photo as they believe there may be additional victims.
