Toronto Police shared on X: “We are closely monitoring reports of an attack at a mosque in San Diego. There is no known nexus to Toronto, but out of an abundance of caution, we will continue visible patrols across the city. We recognize incidents like this can cause fear and concern in communities, and we remain in close contact with our partners.”

York Regional Police also posted on X: “A message to our community: We know that today’s events in San Diego are felt right here in York Region. Today and every day, we stand with our community and are reassuring residents that hate and violence have no place here. People in our region may see increased police presence in coming days, and should know that we are constantly working with partners at all levels to monitor global events. These steps are for the safety and well-being of everyone in our community. If you witness a crime or suspicious activity, report it to @yrp immediately.”

Maybe other police departments will take notice by Tuesday morning!
