Police are seeking the assistance of the public in locating a man wanted in relation to a serious assault that occurred early Saturday morning in Barrie. Adam Myshak, of Barrie, is wanted in relation to this incident. He is facing charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. A Barrie man was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition early Saturday morning following an assault. Just after midnight April 11, city police were contacted regarding the report of a man who had been stabbed in the area of Anne Street North and Donald Street. The 43-year-old man was taken to Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre before being transferred to a trauma centre in Toronto. Police have identified a 28-year-old Barrie man as a suspect, and charges are pending. The man has been identified but not yet arrested, police said just before 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have dash cam or other video footage in the area is asked to contact police.
