Authorities are looking into a hit-and-run accident that occurred on Wednesday in Markham, resulting in serious injuries for a motorcyclist.

Around 6:30 p. m. on May 21, emergency services were called to the scene of a collision between a motorcycle and a transport truck near Woodbine Avenue and John Street.

The motorcyclist, a 30-year-old man from Markham, was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The truck driver fled the scene but has since been located by police.
