According to CP24’s Sijia Liu, a pedestrian was crossing the road in the area of Dennison Street and Featherstone Avenue when she was struck by a blue sedan.

A pedestrian has suffered serious injuries in a hit-and-run incident in Markham, as reported by York Regional Police.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the intersection of Denison Street and Featherstone Avenue, located east of Mc Cowan Road, at 3:41 p. m. following reports of a collision.

Police state that the pedestrian was crossing the intersection when she was hit by a vehicle.

Markham hit and run Police are on the scene of a hit and run in Markham on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026.

The driver fled the scene, leaving her with life-threatening injuries, according to police. She has been taken to a trauma center.

Authorities believe the vehicle involved is a dark blue sedan with silver trim around its windows. The last known direction of travel is unclear.

The intersection was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
