Get set for Barkham Festival 2026, happening this weekend on June 13 & 14 at the beautiful 25-acre Markham Museum, right next to Toronto. After attracting an impressive crowd of 8K in 2025, Markham Dog Alliance is enhancing the event with new and exciting activities for dogs and their owners. Here are some highlights:

– Paws-itively Ever-After Wedding Photos – featuring a professional photographer, wedding outfits, floral arrangements, bonbonnieres, and dog-friendly wedding cake. Markham’s Mayor, Frank Scarpitti, will also join us to kick off the wedding festivities on Saturday at 1:30 PM.

– York Region’s first human-friendly dog café that elevates dog treats with Strawberry Muttcha, Howljicha and Bone-offee Pie pup-cups, Hong Kong-style egg tarts, Italian cannolis, and much more.

– Doggy Pawlympics – thrilling lure coursing races, Sniffscape® challenges and agility contests.

– More than 100 local and out-of-province vendors offering a wide variety of pet-related products from every category imaginable.

– Special appearances by pupfluencer Undercover Dachshund / Rich Lunchford and Paw Patrol characters spreading joy in person.

Markham Dog Alliance organizes Barkham Festival with a mission to build community through dog-friendly events. They strengthen connections among local pet parents while promoting inclusivity. Additionally, they support hundreds of locally-owned businesses by showcasing their products to thousands of dog lovers both in-person and online.
