Authorities are reaching out for more victims after apprehending a man accused of following children and sexually assaulting several women in southeast London on a weekday in early June, London police shared on Wednesday.

Police stated they received multiple 911 calls on Monday, June 8 between 10:30 a. m. and 12:10 p. m., informing them about a man acting suspiciously around Dudley Crescent and Millbank Drive. This area is located south of Southdale Road East between Adelaide Street South and Pond Mills Road.

“Callers advised that the individual was following children and engaging in assaultive and sexually assaultive behaviour toward others,” police said in a statement.

The suspect, identified as Mandella Asouth, 29, from London, was arrested in the 900 block of Southdale Road East, according to police.

A police investigation revealed more incidents allegedly involving the same man that day including:

At approximately 8:20 a. m., a woman walking with her children in the 1000 block of Southdale Road East was allegedly followed and assaulted by the suspect. At approximately 9:10 a. m., another woman walking with her children was reportedly approached and followed by the suspect. Police allege he assaulted and sexually assaulted her after talking to her. At approximately 9:40 a. m., authorities claim the man followed a third woman toward a nearby school after she left a home on Southdale Road with a young child. At an intersection nearby, they allege she was assaulted and sexually assaulted.

The suspect faces charges including two counts of sexual assault, three counts of assault, and three counts of criminal harassment due to repeated following.

Authorities believe there could be additional victims and are asking anyone who interacted with the accused to get in touch with them.

Officers are also appealing to the public for information or video footage from anyone present around Millbank Drive near Southdale Road East and Dudley Crescent between about 8:20 a. m. and 12:20 p. m. on June 8.

The accused remains in custody.
