It’s described as an “unfiltered take on modern dating and starting over.”
London-based actor and director Sarah Cleveland stars in a new television miniseries that offers a unique perspective on rebuilding your life at 40. Love in All the Small Places premieres Monday on Bell Fibe TV1 on demand.
This series not only films in London but is also set here, showcasing recognizable streets and city views along with scenes at local spots like The Tasting Room, Covent Garden Market, Hi-Ignition Fit Lab, Peppermoon Restaurant & Bar, and Innovation Works.
Cleveland chose to highlight real locations and business names to celebrate the city’s beauty, hoping it will encourage more productions to take place in the area.
“Everyone was really excited to be able to show London that way,” Cleveland said.
Having grown up with parents who were small business owners, she understands how challenging it can be to promote your brand.
“I think there’s something to be said about community and family-run businesses, and I really just wanted to support that.”

“The film community is really lovely, and I wanted to see more production happen and really represent London in the real sense,” Cleveland said.
Andrew Dodd, manager of Film London, expressed his excitement when productions spotlight London so the city can shine through.
“That’s really exciting. It’s very common in movies to film in one city but pretend it’s another,” he said. “It’s extra special when London gets to be featured.”
The goal of the local film industry is not just to support those working within it but also help related businesses such as restaurants, local crew members, talent, and hotels.
“Any sort of promotion we can get for the city, we love that, and we love the filmmakers for including us.”

The television series follows Cleveland’s character Sasha, inspired by various women she’s known over time as they navigate mid-life changes like divorce or loss or dealing with an empty nest.
“I wanted it to be representative of women who sometimes lose themselves a little bit in that relationship status or longevity of a relationship,” she said.
“I saw a lot of my friends dipping their toe back into the dating world but had no idea what that looked like anymore. As this season hits screens , Season 2 has already been written , and Cleveland is seeking grants for its production.
“There are more episodes , they’re longer episodes , and many more characters. So hopefully it will bring some longevity for this show here.”
The show’s premiere will take place at Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinemain Toronto on Monday at 7:30 p. m.
