When former city politician Cheryl Miller visited her friend Gord Hume in the hospital recently, he kept encouraging her to read a book he had just finished and had more ready to share, she said Tuesday.
“He had an amazing mind. He wrote about municipal government, how communities can work together. He was a visionary and he leaves London a better place,” an emotional Miller said.
Hume, 76, also a former London city politician, died Tuesday from complications arising from muscular dystrophy, which he was diagnosed with in 2015, said longtime friend Carol Stephenson.
