(CBC) According to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Norfolk County, the driver of a sedan was airlifted to a trauma center with life-threatening injuries after crashing into a pickup truck. Emergency services arrived at the scene on Colonel Talbot Road between Bell Mill Side Road and County Road 30 just before 7 a. m. ET, as stated by OPP constable Andrew Gamble. “What I can tell you is that the driver of the sedan was airlifted to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries, while the driver of the pickup truck was uninjured,” said Gamble. The roads in the area will remain closed for several hours. Motorists are advised to heed the road closures and steer clear of the area.
