About the YIPI Program

The Youth in Policing Initiative aims to encourage young people to explore the various facets of policing and empower them to be agents of positive change within Kingston.

Students involved in the YIPI program will participate in meaningful activities within a safe and supportive environment. These activities include working and receiving mentorship across different sections of the Kingston Police service, building relationships with several youth organizations in Kingston, and assisting community initiatives while gaining important life and job skills.

The Youth in Policing Initiative is run in collaboration with the Ministry of Children and Community and Social Services. The YIPI, along with youthconnect. ca, is part of an initiative to streamline program information and provide access to services for youth throughout Ontario.
