A car entered the water following an attempted traffic stop by OPP.
One person has died after a traffic stop on Tuesday in Greater Napanee.
Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit reported that OPP divers found the body of an unidentified person inside a vehicle in Lake Ontario late Wednesday night.
The vehicle ended up in the water after an officer with Lennox and Addington OPP tried to pull it over on Highway 33 near County Road 21 late Tuesday night.
A search was conducted around the water and nearby area, but there were no signs of anyone who might have been inside the vehicle at that time.
The SIU is still investigating what led to this incident.
They are asking anyone who has information to reach out to them.
