CAA has released its yearly list; Leveque Rd in South Frontenac takes over from County Road 49 as the worst road in the East region.

Two of Kingston’s most traveled roads have made it onto a list of Ontario’s worst roads.

CAA (The Canadian Automobile Association) unveiled their annual rankings on Thursday.

Queen St landed at number four while Princess St (shown in the photo) came in fifth among Eastern Ontario roads.

Leveque Rd in South Frontenac was named the worst road in this area. County Road 49 in Prince Edward County, which was last year’s top contender, is now second.

No roads from Eastern Ontario made it into the Top Ten for the province.

This year’s title of worst road in Ontario goes to Barton St E in Hamilton, followed by Hurontario St in Mississauga and Notre Dame Ave in Sudbury.

CAA states that their annual Worst Roads campaign has led to improvements since starting back in 2003. Numerous municipal and provincial roads have seen repairs or repaving thanks to these efforts.
