Kyle Pyke, the person charged with second-degree homicide within the loss of life of an unidentified 33-year-old on Friday, Jul. 26, 2024, on Leroy Grant Drive in Kingston, made a quick courtroom look on Friday, Nov. 29, 2024. magistrate Jack Chiang presided over the bail courtroom listening to on the Ontario Courtroom of Justice on Wellington Road.  

Pyke appeared by video from Central East Correctional Centre in Lindsay, the place he’s incarcerated, and was represented on-line by Dayna Ackland of Cremer Barristers in Toronto.

Ackland was requesting that Pyke’s matter be referred to a judicial pre-trial assembly in mid-December.

Kingston Police arrested Pyke virtually three weeks after an altercation left an individual deceased in downtown Kingston.
