Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) confirmed that a 19-year-old woman was ultimately found dead after a house fire late Thursday night on Millhaven Road in Loyalist Township.

The OPP indicated they and other emergency responders were dispatched to the residence near Caton Road around 8:30 p. m. that evening.

The victim was initially unaccounted for, according to police, and her body was discovered during the investigation. The OPP mentioned she was home alone at the time and are not disclosing her identity.
