Hamilton police are reaching out to the community for assistance as they continue the search for a missing seven-year-old boy last spotted at Binbrook Conservation Area.

According to a news release, Nathanael Selambi was last seen around 3 p. m. on Wednesday at the conservation area located on Harrison Road in Binbrook.

Investigators reported that Selambi was near the beach by the floating inflatable playground.

“Nathanael Selambi is described as a black male with a skinny build, 4’0” tall, and short/shaved hair,” police mentioned in their statement.

He was wearing a white tank top featuring Thomas the Tank Engine, green shorts with a small orange logo above his left knee, and green swim goggles.

The Hamilton police have deployed their Ground Search and Rescue Team, Marine Unit, Mounted Unit, and investigative units, along with all-terrain vehicles to search through the area.

The police also confirmed they are being aided by an Ontario Provincial Police helicopter and the Peel Regional Police Marine Unit, as stated in an announcement.
