A 61-year-old woman is in the hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a school bus on the Burlington Skyway.
In a social media update on Thursday, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Sgt. Kerry Schmidt reported that around midnight, the woman’s car broke down in a live lane of traffic.
Schmidt mentioned that she got out of her vehicle and was standing next to the concrete wall.
According to police, a school bus collided with her vehicle and struck the woman standing nearby.
“She was taken to hospital with serious injuries,” said Schmidt.
No injuries were reported among the 36 students, three teachers, or the driver of the bus.
