One man is lifeless and one other man is significantly injured after a head-on crash in Markham on Monday night, York Regional Police say.

The crash between a Volkswagen and a Honda occurred on Reesor Street and sixteenth Avenue, police mentioned in a publish on X, previously referred to as Twitter, on Monday. Police mentioned they had been known as to the scene at about 5:40 p.m.

Paramedics took each drivers to hospital, the place a 61-year-old man was pronounced lifeless. The second, a 50-year-old man, stays in hospital.

Reesor Street is closed between Freeway 7 and sixteenth Avenue as officers examine.

Anybody with info is requested to name York Regional Police.
