More than $1,000 worth of stolen cosmetics has led to charges against a man from Brampton, following a theft linked to an “organized” crime ring.
This incident took place on Oct. 25, 2025, at a location near Stone Road West and Scottsdale Drive, according to the Guelph Police Service.
Two men entered the shop and went straight to the cosmetics section, where they filled bags with several gift sets before making their escape. Security cameras recorded footage of the suspects, which was later shared with other law enforcement agencies.
The value of the stolen goods is reported to be over $1,000.
This led investigators to identify one of the suspects as being part of “an organized theft ring” operating across Southern Ontario.
On Tuesday, Guelph police reported that a 52-year-old man from Brampton was arrested by another police service. He is facing charges and is expected to appear in court on Dec. 19, according to police.
