A major accident has led to road closures at the Caledon border with East Garafraxa.
Emergency services are on the scene of a serious two-vehicle crash that occurred Thursday morning, as reported by the Ontario Provincial Police on X at 6:15 a. m.
According to an update from the police, one person has died in the accident and another individual was taken to the hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.
The Caledon/East Garafraxa Town-Line is closed between Shaws Creek Road and Winston Churchill Boulevard, and 19th Line is shut down between Caledon/East Garafraxa Town-Line and Sideroad 5 in East Garafraxa, stated the OPP.
Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes.
