Provincial police reported that a person shot at an apartment complex on King Street in Midland on Friday night has died after being taken to the hospital.
Authorities are withholding the victim’s identity until their family is informed.
Investigators believe this was a contained incident and there’s no wider threat to the community. Residents should expect to see more police around as the investigation goes on.

Ontario Provincial Police are looking into a shooting that occurred at an apartment complex on King Street in Midland.
Officers arrived at the scene shortly after 8 p. m. on Friday due to reports of gunfire.
Police found one individual suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was rushed to a local hospital, but there’s no update on their condition yet.
