A second man initially ran from the scene, causing a brief foot pursuit; however, he was later released without charges after officers confirmed he wasn’t involved.

A 40-year-old man from Innisfil was transported to the hospital for treatment of serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Authorities indicate that he suffered multiple stab wounds during an altercation.

The Barrie teen faces charges for aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

The investigation is still ongoing.
