A 63-year-old man from Barrie has died after a crash between a motorcycle and a car in the southern part of the city on Friday afternoon.
Barrie Police report that the incident occurred just after 4:15 p. m. at the intersection of Big Bay Point Road and Hurst Drive.
According to police, bystanders quickly rushed over to help and administered first aid, but sadly, the motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the car stayed at the site and did not suffer any serious injuries.
Big Bay Point Road and Hurst Drive are closed while authorities conduct their investigation.
Police urge anyone who saw the collision or has information to reach out to the Barrie Police Traffic Unit at 705-725-7025, extension 2995.
