The Ontario Fire Marshal has been contacted after a blaze erupted on the second floor of a townhouse in east Barrie.
Fire crews arrived at the scene on Blake Street, close to Johnson Street, shortly after 7:30 Friday morning.
According to Barrie Fire, no one was inside when the fire started, and it was a passerby who alerted emergency crews about the incident, which was quickly extinguished.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
