A busy part of street in Barrie’s south finish is closed Wednesday for underground infrastructure work.
The Metropolis’s contractors required a full emergency closure alongside Bayview Drive between Little Avenue and Charles Court docket from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to restore current underground sanitary infrastructure.
“Development timelines are topic to alter,” the Metropolis famous.
Motorists should detour across the non permanent closure as work continues on one other part of Bayview Drive, south of Little Avenue to Large Bay Level Street.
The undertaking consists of street widening, bike lanes, sidewalk work, new water mains and stormwater work, plus resurfacing on Bayview Drive from Little Avenue to Springhome Street.
Visitors via that space is down to 1 southbound lane solely.
