Barrie police have successfully reached out to three women they were looking for in connection with a shooting that took place downtown early on Easter Sunday, April 5.
Authorities say the community’s rapid response made it possible to contact these women within hours.

Barrie police are seeking assistance from the public to identify three women related to a shooting incident that occurred downtown during the early hours of Easter Sunday on April 5.
As part of their investigation, officials indicate they would like to speak with these individuals.
The shooting happened outside a nightclub located on Dunlop Street East.

According to police reports, a 30-year-old man from Barrie was shot at close range and is currently hospitalized with serious injuries.
Last week in Midland, three individuals were arrested in connection with this shooting.
A 20-year-old man from Barrie faces ten charges including multiple firearm-related offenses along with attempted murder and aggravated assault.
A 32-year-old woman from Midland and a 23-year-old woman from Barrie have been charged as accessories to attempted murder; additionally, the younger suspect has been charged with theft.
Diving into their investigation further, police recovered a spent shell casing at the scene along with a projectile that had struck a glass window across the street from where the shooting occurred. Investigators noted that help was provided by the Ontario Provincial Police Underwater Search And Recovery Unit in collecting evidence from Kempenfelt Bay.
