Authorities report that a heightened police presence will remain in Huron-Kinloss as they continue their search for a man linked to an early morning incident.

Officers from the South Bruce Detachment of the OPP express that they are “concerned for the safety of this individual” after responding to a call about a man in distress at a home on Amberley Beach Road just before 3 a. m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.

Police have established a containment area with help from the OPP Aviation Unit, Canine Unit, and Emergency Response Team, indicating that residents “will notice an increased police presence in the area.”

The public is encouraged to stay alert and report any suspicious activity.

The investigation is still ongoing.
