Halton police have taken a Scarborough teenager into custody for his involvement in home invasions that occurred in Burlington and Oakville at the end of April.

The 14-year-old was arrested on June 9 and faces several charges including robbery, two counts of disguise with intent, break and enter with intent, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and failing to comply with a release order. Due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the identity of the accused cannot be revealed.

The incidents happened on April 22. The first break-in took place around 3 a. m. in southeast Oakville, followed by another one in the Rosedale neighborhood of Burlington at approximately 3:45 a. m.

There were five suspects involved. They were described as having slim builds and wearing dark clothing along with either hoods or balaclavas. Witnesses reported seeing them driving a dark-colored sedan.
