JANUARY

CRIME FIGHTING: January is recognized as Crime Stoppers’ month. To find out more about this crime-fighting initiative or if you have tips regarding any crime, you can reach out to Crime Stoppers anonymously by calling 1-800-222-8477 or visiting helpsolvecrime. com. You won’t need to provide your name and could qualify for a cash reward. Crime Stoppers – working towards making your community safer.

ROAST BEEF DINNER: Join us on Wednesday, Jan. 25 from 4:30 to 7 p. m. in the clubroom at the Simcoe Legion. The meal features roast beef, soup, mashed potatoes with horseradish and gravy, mixed vegetables, rolls with butter, and a variety of pies. Cost is $16. All are welcome.

CHICKEN WINGS: Enjoy takeout or dine-in at the Waterford Legion on Jan. 27. The hall opens at 4:45 p. m., with orders taken in person starting then and serving begins at 5 p. m. Wings cost $12, onion wings are $5 and fries are $4. Don’t forget to bring your own bag for takeout.

WINGS & THINGS PUB NIGHT: Happening at the Teeterville Legion on Friday, Jan. 27 starting at 5 p. m., until sold out. Stay around for karaoke hosted by Sunset DJ & Karaoke! KARAOKE: Come join us for karaoke night at the Waterford Legion on Jan. 27 from 7 to 10 p. m., featuring music by JCS.

JAMBOREE AND DANCE: A jamboree and dance will take place at the Tillsonburg Legion on Jan.27 from1 -5 p. m., featuring Ken Lightheart and the Northshore Ramblers. Admission is just $5 at the door. Everyone’s invited!

FREE CLOTHING GIVEAWAY : At St. James United Church ,150 Colborne St. Simcoe on Saturday , Jan.28 from8 :30a. m.-11a. m. Good used clothing available for men, women and children along with some miscellaneous items. Donations of clothing would be appreciated. Drop off times are Monday through Thursday only from9 -11 a. m. at church office.
OPEN JAM : Everyone’s welcome to join an open jam session where you can bring an instrument or simply come listen to music. On Saturday , Jan.28 startingat1 p. m.
