The museum took home the Top Small Museum award during last week’s Attraction Ontario annual meeting.

There’s a new and unique artifact set to be showcased at the Great Lakes Museum in Kingston.

The museum recently earned an award in the Top Small Museum category (for venues with under 100,000 visitors annually) at the 2026 Ontario’s Choice awards.

This accolade was presented last Thursday at Attraction’s Ontario Annual General Meeting held in Toronto.

In a news release, the museum mentioned that this recognition is particularly special since it was decided by a public vote.

The Ontario’s Choice Awards highlight excellence in tourism and honor attractions that provide exceptional experiences for visitors across the province.
