Police took possession of three firearms, ammunition, electronic devices, and additional items after carrying out search warrants at two different locations.
Authorities have charged two individuals from Wasaga Beach with multiple sexual offenses following a collaborative investigation by Dufferin and Huronia West OPP.
On Wednesday, search warrants were executed in both Wasaga Beach and Orangeville. Officers seized three firearms, ammunition, electronic devices, and other related items.
A 30-year-old man faces the following charges:
Sexual assault on a person under 16 years of age
Sexual assault
Sexual interference (two counts)
Sexual exploitation
Invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age
Assault
Assault causing bodily harm (choke, suffocate or strangle)
Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
Assault with a weapon
Makes, prints, publishes or possesses for the purpose of publication any child sexual abuse and exploitation material
Sexual assault with a weapon
Unauthorized possession of a firearm (three counts)
Failure to comply with an undertaking
The man was held pending a bail hearing.
A 29-year-old woman has been charged with the following:
Sexual assault
Sexual interference
Sexual exploitation
Invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age
Assault causing bodily harm (choke, suffocate or strangle)
Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm
Assault
The woman is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 10 in Orangeville.
The identities of those accused have not been disclosed, and authorities stated that no further details will be provided at this time.
