A man who visited a police station in the Huronia West OPP detachment area didn’t get very far when he attempted to leave.
Officers took the 58-year-old from Tiny Township into custody at 4:05 p. m. on March 18 after staff at the front desk observed that he seemed impaired and was about to drive away.
“Officers located the vehicle and conducted an impaired driving investigation. Subsequently, the driver was arrested,” OPP stated in a news release.
The man has been charged with operation while impaired with a blood-alcohol concentration of 80 or higher.
The accused is set to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Collingwood on May 5, 2026, to respond to the charges.
