Wesley Jérôme Orr, 25, from Tecumseh, Ontario passed away on January 4th, 2019 due to a climbing accident while having fun in Collingwood, Ontario. He was a student at École secondaire l’Essor. Wes had a love for adventure and the great outdoors and was also a dedicated firefighter. He was a caring son, brother, and friend who played an active role in his family business and community. His absence will be felt deeply as he stays alive in our hearts. He is fondly remembered as an enthusiastic, driven, and hardworking young man. A proud graduate of the University of Toronto’s Paramedicine program, Wesley served as a Firefighter with Windsor Fire & Rescue Services. As part of the fourth generation of the Melvin Orr Trucking Family, he committed himself to continuing the legacy of the family business.
Wesley leaves behind his parents Terry and Louise (née Chauvin) from Tecumseh; his brother Dillon (Félix Desmeules-Trudel) and his sisters Erin (Stephen Skorbinski) and Melanie. He was a cherished grandson to Jeanne (née Cécile) and Melvin (2017) Orr; Jérôme (2013) and Yvonne (2013, née Lalonde) Chauvin. He is also survived by his girlfriend Meighen Boyd, friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, and his loyal companion Piper. Friends may visit at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel), located at 11677 Tecumseh Rd (519)253-7234 on Tuesday January 8th, 2019 from 2 to 5:30pm & 6 to 9pm with a Firefighters walk through scheduled for 7:30pm. The funeral services for Wes will take place on Wednesday January 9th, 2019 at 11am in the chapel. Cremation will follow afterward. In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations can be made in memory of Wesley to the Windsor Professional Firefighters Benefit Fund “Sparky’s Toy Drive”. Online condolences and shared memories can be left at www. windsorchapel. com
