One person has died and three others were injured following a multi-vehicle crash in Norfolk County, according to police.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stated they responded to an incident near Simcoe involving a cement truck, a sedan, and an SUV around 3:11 p. m. ET on Wednesday.

“The driver of the SUV, a 79-year-old resident of Norfolk County, sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene,” police mentioned in a news release.

The drivers of both the truck and the sedan, along with a passenger from the sedan, were taken to the hospital “with undetermined injuries.”

Parts of Concession 13 Townsend and Blueline Road were closed for several hours on Wednesday but have since reopened, police reported.
