Arrest Made in Mississauga Pedestrian Fatality

On Tuesday, January 14, 2025, a pedestrian was hit by a black SUV while using the crosswalk at Bristol Road West and Loonlake Avenue in Mississauga. The driver left the scene without offering any help. The victim, a woman in her twenties, was rushed to a trauma center, where she unfortunately passed away due to her injuries.

On Wednesday, February 11, 2026, Sundeep Sekhon, 26 years old and from Mississauga, was arrested and charged with these offenses:

Failure to stop after accident resulting in death Dangerous operation causing death

Sekhon is being held for a bail hearing and has appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
