Residents of Wasaga Beach and Midland facing charges after warrants executed this week
Two individuals from the area have been charged following a police operation that resulted in the seizure of drugs, cash, and a vehicle in Simcoe County.
On Monday and Tuesday, searches took place at various sites across the county. Officers reportedly confiscated 239 grams of suspected cocaine, $6,040 in Canadian cash, a 2020 Ram 2500 truck, drug packaging materials, and cell phones, according to a news release from Orillia OPP.
A 49-year-old man from Wasaga Beach is facing charges for possession with intent to traffic (cocaine), possession of property obtained through crime under $5,000, and possession of property obtained through crime over $5,000.
A 26-year-old man from Midland has been charged with possession for trafficking (cocaine) as well as possession of property obtained through crime over $5,000.
The names of those charged have not been disclosed.
All allegations remain unproven until tested in court.
