A man who was wanted after a shooting incident in Kitchener, which left a 30-year-old with gunshot injuries, has been apprehended.
Last week, regional police announced they were searching for a suspect linked to the shooting that occurred on Jan. 28 near Scott Street and King Street East. The incident took place around 9:00 p. m., and the victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
On Feb. 10, authorities executed two search warrants in Kitchener and took two men into custody. Following this investigation, a 30-year-old man from Kitchener was identified as having an outstanding warrant related to the gunfire incident. Police described him as armed and dangerous.
On Feb. 24, the suspect voluntarily went to a police station in Kitchener and was arrested.
He faces several charges:

The other two men detained during this investigation are aged 25 and 28, both from Kitchener. Regional police previously indicated that the shooting appeared to be targeted.
