Another home invasion has struck Oakville, this time resulting in the theft of a luxury SUV.

According to Halton police, this latest event occurred around 3 a. m. on April 26 near Neyagawa Boulevard and Dundas Street.

“Three male suspects used a hammer to break a window on the front door, then reached inside to unlock the door and gain entry,” according to police. “The residents awoke to the noise and were confronted by a suspect holding a hammer and demanding keys to a Mercedes SUV parked in the driveway.”

After getting the keys, the suspects took off in the stolen SUV along with another red SUV they had driven there.

No injuries were reported. The stolen SUV was found unoccupied shortly after in Toronto.
