Early on April 10, 2026, at 12:52 am, police received a call about gunfire at a bar on the Lambton College campus. When they arrived, officers found three people injured-one with critical injuries and two with less severe injuries. Unfortunately, despite efforts to save him both on-site and in the hospital, 20-year-old Dane Nisbet was pronounced dead.
Authorities have identified Kyaw “Chin” DOE as the main suspect in this homicide case. He fled the scene that night and had been avoiding capture until now. A warrant for his arrest was issued across Canada.
*UPDATE* April 27, 2026
On Monday, April 27, Sarnia Police homicide detectives pinpointed a location in London where DOE was believed to be hiding out. With help from the London Police Service and their Emergency Response Unit, they secured the area until DOE surrendered to law enforcement. He was arrested and handed over to Sarnia Police at that time.
Kyaw “Chin” DOE (24 years) from Boullee Street in London has been taken into custody. He’s facing charges including:
Second Degree Murder
Attempted Murder X 2
Possession of a firearm while prohibited
The SPS will hold a short media briefing on Tuesday, April 28, at 1 pm at Sarnia Police HQ (555 Christina Street North). Investigators will share updates and answer questions during this time.
