Authorities in Hamilton, Ont., report that three individuals are facing charges after a raid at a dispensary uncovered an illegal dog breeding operation.
Last week, law enforcement executed a search warrant at 4 Winds Medicine Lodge located at 421 King St. E. based on tips suggesting it was involved in the unlawful sale of cannabis and other controlled substances.
During the April 16 operation, police confiscated approximately $210,000 worth of illegal drugs, including cocaine and methamphetamine, along with related paraphernalia and prohibited weapons. They also discovered two labs suspected to be used for producing crack cocaine.
“During the search, officers also located eight puppies and two adult dogs believed to be part of an illegal dog breeding operation,” police stated in a news release Monday.
