A man was taken to the hospital after a shooting early Sunday morning in Oakville.
Halton Regional Police reported that officers were dispatched to the intersection of Lakeshore Road and Fourth Line around 5:30 a. m. following reports of gunfire.
Upon arrival, they found a man who was then transported to the hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.
The police suspect that this shooting was targeted but do not have any descriptions of suspects or vehicles at this time.
Investigators are reaching out to anyone who may have seen what happened or has dashcam footage from the area.
Specifically, police are looking for dashcam recordings taken between 5 a. m. and 6:30 a. m. in these locations: Lakeshore Road and Fourth Line in Oakville; Lakeshore Road between Fourth Line and Southdown Road in Mississauga; Ford Drive from Lakeshore Road to the QEW; and Winston Churchill Boulevard from Lakeshore Road to the QEW.
