Eric Rees, aged 92, passed away peacefully on Saturday at Bethell Hospice in Caledon, Ontario.
He was born in Cardiff, Wales, and moved to Canada in 1967 with his loving wife, Mary, and their young son, Phil. This marked the start of a new adventure far from home. Canada became the place where he created his life, raised his family, and established deep roots. He was a dedicated husband to Mary for 68 years, a proud father to his only son, Phil, and a caring father-in-law to Rosemarie. He also adored his two grandchildren, Melanie and Michael, who brought him immense joy. He will be remembered for his kindness and gentle spirit along with his quiet dignity. His life was well-lived amidst love and laughter.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Bethell Hospice for their compassion and care during his final days as well as Dr. Michael Miletin and Dr. Anastasia Prokubovskaya.
He will be greatly missed.
