A woman was seriously hurt in a hit-and-run incident while walking in Oakville on Friday morning, and police are seeking assistance in locating the vehicle involved.

According to Halton Regional Police, officers arrived at the intersection of Dundas Street East and Oak Park Boulevard shortly after 11 a. m., where the woman had been struck by a vehicle that did not stop.

The victim, who is 67 years old, was transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. There has been no update from police regarding her current condition.

Authorities are encouraging anyone who witnessed the event or has dash cam or security footage from the area between 11 a. m. and 11:20 a. m. to get in touch with Halton Regional Police at 905-825-4777.

Tips can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
