Jeff passed away on January 21st, 2026 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, at the age of 69. Jeff was a man who was fully dedicated to his family, and they will miss him dearly.
He was a loving husband to Betty (nee Wilson) for 45 years. A caring father to Lisa Allen (Jeff) and Matthew Allen (Alexandra). Proud Papa of Claire, Everett, and Parker. He was the dear son of Shirley Allen (late Lawrence). Brother to Lawrie Allen, Jamie Thomas, and Tracy Allen.
He is fondly remembered by cousins, nieces and nephews, especially Kerry De Marsh (Steve).
Jeff spent his career as a Millwright in the automotive field.
He loved being outdoors. Camping and canoeing in many of Ontario’s provincial parks were some of his favorite activities. Photography also brought him joy; he captured many stunning images of the parks and wildlife.
This past few years, Betty and Jeff got e-bikes and had a fantastic time exploring Waterloo Region, Pelee Island and other spots in Ontario on their bikes. Their favorite adventure was completing the G2G Trail this past summer.
Jeff adored his family above all else. You could often find him watching his grandson’s hockey practices; he never missed a dance recital and cherished exploring the backyard woods with his grandkids. Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467.
