The City of Windsor has just gotten its third-quarter payment for 2025-26, for hosting a casino.

With this latest quarterly check from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG), the City will receive $2,032,014.

This amount covers the time period from October 1 to December 31, 2025.

“Year after year, a share of the revenue from Caesars Windsor through OLG’s Municipality Contribution Agreement has been an important source of funding for Windsor, helping to deliver vital services and helping to enhance the quality of life of local residents,” said Windsor-Tecumseh MPP Andrew Dowie. “Windsor as a host community benefits from its share of the local casino revenue, while all Ontarians benefit from OLG’s gaming revenues, as 100 per cent of OLG profits are reinvested in communities across the province.”

Since spring 1994, when the first temporary Casino Windsor opened, the City has received $138,794,609.

The payments come from a formula outlined in the Municipality Contribution Agreement that applies to all land-based casino sites in Ontario.
