BURLINGTON, ONT. – Authorities west of Toronto report that a 24-year-old man has died following a targeted shooting late at night in a shopping mall parking lot.

Halton regional police are currently looking for two suspects who fled the scene in a white SUV.

Officers arrived at the Burlington Centre Mall parking lot at 10:10 p. m. on Monday.

The victim has been identified as Omer Niaz Muhammad from Burlington.

No arrests have been made so far.

Authorities believe this shooting was targeted and say there’s no ongoing threat to public safety.
